Frequently Asked Questions

What happens if I pass a gate without sufficient balance?
You have a grace period of 5 working days to recharge your account. If you do not recharge within this period, a fine of 50 AED will be issued for each day you pass without balance.
Can I use one tag for multiple vehicles?
No. Each Salik tag is linked to a specific vehicle's registration card (Mulkiya) and windshield. Removing the tag damages it, rendering it unusable.
How do I check my balance?
You can check your balance via the Smart Salik App, the website (salik.ae), or by calling the 24/7 toll-free number 800-SALIK (72545).
